This could be in a burrow amongst brush, inside your built-in grill, or in an attic.

The best way to control rodents in and around your home is to keep the surrounding area free and clear of trash and debris and to eliminate entry points around the home or business. Piles of bricks, for example, are an example of somewhere they can nest. Sealing the base of garage doors, checking for gaps in flashing, eave joints and around the chimney, and appropriately blocking weep holes are all common exclusion practices.
